Gastón Carvalho

Nace en Uruguay en 1978.

​

Muy pronto comienza sus estudios de dibujo y pintura en el taller del Maestro Manuel Raúl Deliotti. Continúa su aprendizaje en talleres de libre expresión como los de Walter Nadal y en el Club del Arte.

 

En 2006 Ingresa al Taller de Clever Lara. Estudia Figura humana, Retratos e Historia del Arte.

Si los graffiti narran la convivencia social y la cultura desde la prehistoria, los óleos de Carvalho son un reflejo de nuestro tiempo. Este joven artista propone historias urbanas en muros pintados, puertas desconchadas y carteles arrancados donde se ofrece una nueva mirada sobre nuestra sociedad.

Very early on, he began to study drawing and painting with Maestro Manuel Raúl Deliotti. He continued his apprenticeship in workshops espousing free artistic expression such as Walter Nadal’s studio and Club del Arte.

 

In 2006 he enrolled in the Taller de Clever Lara, where he studied the human figure, portrait painting and art history.

 

Insofar as graffiti have depicted social relations and culture since the dawn of prehistory, Carvalho’s paintings mirror our age. This young artist’s urban stories, narrated on painted walls, scaling doors and torn posters, train a new gaze on our society.
